Lawlernomics: Pain at the Pump, Purged from the Payroll

WESTCHESTER, NEW YORK — While gas prices surge to nearly $4/gallon in Rep. Lawler’s district, Hudson Valley families are being squeezed by a "triple threat" of Lawlernomics: soaring costs, a contracting job market, and cuts to the essential services residents rely on. This isn't an accident—it’s the direct result of policies enabled by Representative Lawler.

By backing legislation to threaten Medicaid and the Republican Tax Law in 2025, Lawler has prioritized rigid ideology over local reality in the Hudson Valley.

The impact is hitting home right now:

“Rep. Lawler promised lower costs, affordability, and no cuts to essential services. Instead, his votes for MAGA-backed policies—from the Republican Tax Law to the balanced budget amendment and tariffs—have done the opposite,” said Joan, a NY-17 constituent and longtime Hudson Valley resident.  These policies have driven up and will continue to drive up the cost of gas and groceries while putting healthcare at risk for thousands of Hudson Valley families, especially seniors living on fixed incomes. At a time when families are already stretched to their limits, Rep. Lawler’s record isn’t just inconsistent with his promises—it’s causing real financial harm.”

It’s time to hold Rep. Lawler accountable for the high cost of his voting record.
