Digital Fellow
Job Title: Digital Fellow for Empire State Voices
Reports To: Communications Director
Time Commitment/Classification: Contract (20 hrs/week)
Compensation: $2,000/month
ABOUT THE POSITION:
Strategic Support
Advise weekly (4x monthly) on strategic social media opportunities for organization, including identifying areas for audience engagement and growth.
Contribute 3 unique ideas per week for featuring ESV messaging of the moment through social platforms.
Track opportunities for engagement and message elevation with no less than 4 local, state or national partners on key issues per week.
Identify at least 2 opportunities per week to boost successful messaging and content.
Social Media Management
Develop a weekly calendar of social media content for 5-6 social platforms (Instagram, Facebook, twitter, Bluesky, Reddit, and TikTok)
Implement ESV overarching messaging frame
Develop 4 pieces of elevated video or graphic design materials per month
Find opportunities to use existing and upcoming ESV content and storytellers including LTEs, articles, videos, ads, and other earned and paid pieces through social media platforms every week
Promote earned media events
Brainstorm ideas to capture target audience attention of earned media events and other activations throughout the district.
Bonuses:
Experience using Canva to design graphics while adhering to ESV style guide
Past comms experience enabling Fellow to write copy and captions without needing a lot of help via the approvals process
Organizing
Identify possible stakeholders and storytellers.
Highlight constituents and organizations with relevant healthcare, veteran and working family stories through social platforms
Engage NY-17 communities in ESV events
Reporting
Join a weekly call and/or provide a written report of:
Social platform performance
Ideas for upcoming weeks
